Personal Introduction
Hiu Lung Wong, penname Hiu Lung, Wong Yong. I got the Bachelor of Arts’ Degree (major in History) at Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1999, Postgraduate Certificate in Education at University of Hong Kong in 2002, and the Master of Arts’ Degree (major in Cultural Studies) at Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2005. When I was doing the Bachelor’s Degree, I was the editor-in-chief of a film journal called “Guan Ying” (published by joint-university Film Society) and enrolled in screenwriting and short film production courses. I write film reviews in the Apple Daily newspaper, Film Critics’ Quarterly, City Entertainment Bi-weekly, Youth Bi-weekly, www.hkfca.org and www.filmcriticschina.org I was invited to be a guest speaker at Hong Kong Institute of Education, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Lingnan University, City University of Hong Kong in 2003, 2004, 2008 and 2009. I was invited to be a judge of the short film and video competitions organized by Hong Kong Arts Centre and Baptist University of Hong Kong in 2003 and 2004. I was a voter of 22nd -28th Hong Kong Film Awards and 5th-12th Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Film Awards competitions. Also, I was a guest speaker of television programs of Guangzhou TV station and East Asia Satellite Television Limited in 2004. I became the editor-in-chief of “Special issue of 10th Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Film Awards” in 2005. I am the author of four film books called “Ying Mi Ji Zuo”, “Ying Xiang Tan Xi” and “Topics of Liberal Studies in world cinemas” and “Analysis on topics of Liberal Studies based on world cinemas”.
